Hemp Drying

Drying technique is often the single greatest determinant of end-product quality. Over-dried product will have low yield and under-dried product will mold. By controlling how varying strains and harvests enter the dryer, how they act within that dryer, and how they exit, we help growers consistently achieve the potency and vibrancy buyers want. We provide industry-best solutions, turn-key integration, and 24/7 service.

Hemp Dryers

ABM’s circular fluid beds are the best solution for shredded hemp on the market. Using vibration and evenly-distributed airflow to suspend and fluidize hemp like ping-pongs ball over an airstream, heat is used as an aid rather than a primary driver of evaporation. This produces high yields and protects hemp’s natural green color. Single-stage systems dry up to 1,000 lbs/hr and dual stage up to 3,000 lbs/hr.

Cannabis Dryers

Microwave dryers’ air-tight vessels and temperature control are suitable for all forms of cannabis. They can be used to decarb pellets and gently dry pre-roll material because the specialized mixing paddles cause minimal product damage. System sizes are available from 60 to 400 cubic foot volumes for R&D and full production systems alike.

Processor’s Pattymaker

Capable of 2,100 to 2,200 patties per hour and up to 10 oz. portions, the Processor’s Pattymaker is more versatile than smaller alternatives because of the optional dies available. By partitioning the diameter of the dies you can produce 4”, 3”, and 2” products, whether round, square, or nuggets in custom shapes. It consistently delivers precise portions and automatically interleaves paper slips between them. It comes standard with a 33 lb. hopper which can be upsized, among other options as shown below.

Deli Pattymaker

Capable of up to 1900 patties per hour in up to 5.3 oz. portions, the Deli Pattymaker is also popular in grocery stores and cafeterias. It delivers consistent portions in selectable shapes and automatically separates patties with paper. Mold plates from 3/16” x 4.5” to 3/8” x 4.7” are included, and the machine can be set to run at 1200, 1600, or 1900 portions per hour. All contact surfaces are food-grade and carts with wheels are available as an option for mobility.

Commercial Flour Mill

A sturdy, long-lasting grain mill, the Commercial Flour Mill is the standalone version of the model intended for continuous-operation systems and thus includes more safety features. This heavy duty mill (Grindmaster 950 model) features a strong base, long-lasting shaft and bearings, and was built for high-throughput applications. Aimed at whole grain, whole meal, and grits, these mills are ideal for organic flours as the low temperatures maintained during the grinding process retains and protects the nutrient content of the grain. The Commercial Flour Mill features additional shrouding for operator safety and aesthetics versus standard industrial mills.

Flat Belt Conveyors

Flat belt conveyors are the simplest and most common of conveying methods and are used for relatively lower capacity/speed applications. They can be used on slopes up to a maximum of 25° for sticky solids, but applications where flat-belts are suitable for slopes are rare. Flat belt conveyors are available in endless configurations, which ABM builds to spec. or sources from a partner. All sourced equipment is delivered to the customer at the same price or better than they could receive by going direct.

Commercial Mixer/Grinder

Capable of up to 146 lbs./min. with a 660 lb. hopper, the Commercial Mixer/Grinder efficiently homogenizes meat and plant products. It features thin paddles in the angle of ribbons, allowing it to strike a between the consistency of ribbon mixers with the throughput of paddle mixers, all while preserving the ability to mix forward and reverse. The Commercial Mixer/Grinder’s variable-speed motor and programmable timer also allow fast, slow, and automatic mixes. It is known for its ruggedness and reliability and is highly effective with any kind of meat fat to lean. Among other design considerations, the lid is equipped with a counterweight for ergonomic handling and an open-grid design for seasoning changes during operation.

Trough Belt Conveyors

Trough conveyors are belt conveyors where the bed or idle pulleys are shaped to bend the belt and cup the product. This improves the belt’s carrying capacity by helping the product mound and provides a degree of protection from elements and jostling. Trough conveyors are used in practically endless applications, but most often in bulk and/or outdoor industries such as mining & agriculture.

Large Processor’s Mixer/Grinder

Capable of up to 146 lbs./min. with a 330 lb. hopper, the Large Processor’s Mixer/Grinder efficiently homogenizes meat and plant products by using thin paddles in the angles ribbons would normally take. As a hybrid between ribbon and paddle mixers, it strikes a balance between high homogeny and throughput while preserving the ability to mix forward and reverse. The Large Processor’s Mixer/Grinder’s variable speed motor and programmable timer also allow fast, slow, and auto mixes. It is a rugged solution for mixing any kind of meat, from fat to lean. An open-grid lid allows seasoning to be added during operation and the lid is counterbalanced for ergonomic-friendly operation.

Chain Disks

Chain disks, also known as chain-and-puck or tubular drag, are the ideal conveyance method for many bulk dry solids. Depending on the product, chain disks can convey up to around 250 lbs. of product per minute, run hundreds of feet from a single drive, and go about sharp and vertical bends. Like pneumatic conveyors, chain disks offer the ability to discharge at numerous points, but because they cannot diverge into separate paths they can only discharge along the path of the chain. Chain disks are known for being long-lasting, low-maintenance, gentle on product, and modular.

Processor’s Mixer/Grinder

Capable of up to 120 lbs./min. with a 300 lb. hopper, the Processor’s Mixer/Grinder employs thin paddles in the angle of ribbons. As a hybrid between ribbon and paddle mixers, they strike a balance between high homogeny and throughput while preserving the ability to mix forward or reverse. The Processor’s Mixer/Grinder features a variable speed motor and programmable timer which allows fast, slow, and auto mixes. It is a rugged solution for mixing any kind of meat, or plant substitute, from fat to lean. The mixer rotates at a right angle to the auger to minimize its product exposure and avoid temperature buildup, preserving the presentability of the end-product. An open-grid lid allows seasoning to be added during operation, and the lid is counterbalanced for ergonomic accessibility.
