Why Rent Metal Detectors?

Renting metal detectors is a practical solution for many businesses in the food industry. It offers the flexibility to scale operations, manage costs effectively, and ensure compliance with food safety standards without the need for significant capital investment. The most common reasons people rent metal detectors are:

  • Suspected Contamination: The most common reason processors need to rent is because they don’t have a metal detector, but they either have a known instance of contamination or they suspect one.
  • Temporary Production Lines: Businesses that need to scale up their production temporarily for large orders or for those testing new products will need some temporarily.
  • Seasonal Demand: Often companies will have a push to create a bunch of a product that is already successful during peak seasons but don’t want to commit to a purchase.
  • Quality Assurance Projects: QA often wants to test products before they buy, or they have another project that requires it.
  • Budget Constraints: Some customers can’t afford one or get financing for it. For these situations we may be able to provide a rent-to-own arrangement depending on the type of machine.

What's the turnaround time?

We have models on-hand to accommodate most sizes of packages, but there is always a chance another customer will have needed the same size you do, and they’re not done with it yet. Just submit a form or call in and we’ll let you know if we have it.

Which brands do you stock?

Our stock is rotating, sometimes including Sartorius, Minebea, and CEIA, but our typical metal detectors are Fortress.
