Go straight from winterization to clear oil with high-grade lenticular filters. Washable depth sheets remove all oversized particles and activated carbon sheets remove organic compounds including chlorophyll and all other odor and clarity-influencing impurities.

Horizontally-oriented models are optimized for ease-of-use with filters being readily accessible and easily interchanged. Vertically-oriented models are optimized for energy efficiency, as less pressure is required to flow oil through the media.

Filters can be placed in numerous places along an extraction line but are often placed after centrifuges because they’re required for falling film evaporators. Yellowstone falling films, for example, require a 15 micron screen because coffee filters can be used as a cheap and easy solution, but this is still a good opportunity to get other filtering done simultaneously.
