ABM Displaying Photon-Counting X-Ray At IBIE and Pack Expo
Processors encouraged to test own products with new x-ray technology at IBIE and Pack Expo at the end of this month.
ABM Equipment will be demonstrating a new photon-counting x-ray machine from Eagle at IBIE booth N-5733. Attendees of both Pack Expo and IBIE are encouraged to reach out ahead-of-time with product details so they can be tested at the shows.

Photon-counting x-ray technology was originally announced 4 years ago by Eagle Product Inspection, who developed most primary features of x-ray within the industry. Eagle pioneered x-ray item count, checkweighing, dud detection, fat analysis, and even the initial application of x-ray to food. Photon-counting technology, introduced as PXT, immediately doubled industry capabilities but was available in limited machines at first. Now available for nearly the entire line, it will be on display at IBIE in the 430 PRO model.
Though the machine is only available at IBIE in the ABM Equipment booth, it will also be shown in Eagle's Pack Expo booth N-7610. For this reason, producers attending either show are encouraged to contact ABM or Eagle prior to the shows with product details. Sales staff will then be able to procure samples before the show and demonstrate the technology on your product.
"PXT has nearly doubled what's possible for the industry,” said Sam Cassa, X-Ray Sales Manager at ABM Equipment "and that can mean a couple different things. Some people just want to detect contaminants half the size, and some people don't want to go smaller, but they'd like to halve the number of false rejects.”
