Brewery Decommissioning Services

Wet side, dry side, packaging side

Whether you're closing down your own brewery or distillery, moving spaces, or need to free up your real estate asset, our fab and install teams can break down, organize, and package your equipment for sale or recommissioning. Having set up and broken down hundreds of systems—including more complex food setups—our team can simplify the process regardless of its condition or location.

Evaluation and Appraisal

Our Sales Manager will assess your equipment's condition and research similars to give you a close estimate of its worth.

Dismantling and Removal

Our team has decommissioned numerous breweries, distilleries, and even food and chemical manufacturing plants. We disassemble equipment, crate it, and pack it for shipment to prevent any damage, and organize it so things make sense at its destination. We can then arrange the shipping.

On-Site Services

We handle all necessary on-site work, including the disconnection of utilities. Our team also ensures the safe disposal of non-reusable equipment and infrastructure.

Recommissioning

If you're only moving locations, we can also reinstall your equipment at your new space and help you upscale your system with new equipment if applicable. There are a few exceptions here, as some equipment may need help from the manufacturer or a related specialist.

Preparation for Sale

We take every step to prepare your equipment for sale securely. This includes crating and skidding sellable goods and organizing their transportation. Additionally, we can arrange for your equipment to be listed on an auction website, taking high-quality pictures and documenting the model, make, and apparent condition to attract potential buyers. However, we will ask that you be thorough in your description of use and experience so that buyers can feel confident they know what they're buying.

Sale Assistance

No one can guarantee they can place your equipment; used dealers can get the closest but they need >100% margins for it to make sense and they still won't buy a lot of it. But there are a few things we can do. We will:

  • Email our list, which is just over 2k people with all the equipment you have (if you would like to be a recipient of this list, say that in the form below)
  • We'll tell any customers looking to start or expand about your equipment
  • If there's anything we have room for that we can't find demand for but which is usually desirable, we will buy it
  • We will list your equipment on our site and forums.

If we connect you with someone who buys your equipment we ask that you give us 5% of the sale. If we need to carry the money or the equipment we'll ask for at least 20% depending on the circumstances.

Scrapping and Space Management

If your goal is simply to clear space, we remove and scrap any equipment, freeing up your real estate asset for future use or sale.
