Roller Clearing
If you do somehow flood the rollers, the hopper can easily be opened so you can vacuum the grain out. Option available to reverse the rollers.
Flow Control
Improved flow gate allows you to more accurately control flow and close it entirely to prevent flooding

Counters show the exact position of the rollers so you can easily switch settings for different grains.

The brewing industry has long had two sure-fire options: no-frills mills that were not dust-tight and difficult to operate, or extremely high-quality mills from the food industry that cost 100k. Mid range mills have always solved this problem or that, but hardly took the pain out of milling. Roller position couldn't be tracked, they were easy to flood, hard to recover from flooding, used soft rollers that needed replaced every few years, or all the above.

Harder Rollers
The ABM 2-Roller Mills use harder rollers than other comparable mills, which means they can withstand more abuse before they need re-grooved.
No-Grease Bearings
Other comparable mills require you to grease the bearings, which is seldom done and causes mills to die sooner. We use sealed bearings, eliminating this need.
Reduced Roller Drift
The design flaw that caused rollers to drift easily in other models has been resolved with the ABM mill.

Originally developed for the food industry, DSO Sentinel is now the most efficient grain control and analytics software. ↓
Reversible-Drive Option
There is an option to order a mill with a variable frequency drive, which will alow you to reverse the rollers. This is not necessary because of all the anti-flooding features, but some brewers like to have it.
In-Hopper Magnets
Grate magnets ensure no hardware etc. messes up your rollers.
