How to Validate / Verify an Eagle X-Ray

This lesson will instruct operators on how to verify that the system is detecting foreign material and rejecting it correctly.

Look at the product title at the top of the screen to ensure the correct product is selected.

Check the status indicators at the bottom left corner of the screen for X-ray on, Conveyor Running & Green man running. These indicate the system is actively inspecting and waiting for product.

We need to log into the ‘Member of QS’ user level to start Verification Mode. Press ‘Menu,’ ‘User Level,’ and ‘Member of QS.’ Enter the password and press ‘Login.’

Navigate Back to the Main Screen and select the Verification button found just above the throughput field. The button is a V outlined with a green box.

Press the button. You will see a message appear asking if you want to use the Verification Mode feature. Press OK to confirm.

The product title, image border as well as the throughput and reject counters are highlighted in green indicating the verification mode is active.

Attach your contaminant card to your product and pass them through the x-ray. To verify detection, watch the screen to see that the contaminant within the card is tagged on the x-ray image. To verify rejection, watch that the product is fully removed from the product flow and then captured by the correct receptacle. Repeat for each lane & contaminant type.

The verification mode allows the user to challenge the system by testing detection and rejection of product while not counting against the production statistics. Furthermore, verification events and images are automatically collected and stored in a remote database. To turn the Verification / Validation feature off, press the V button once more. The highlighted green portions of the screen should return to normal, and the counters resume operation for passes and rejects.
