We pride ourselves on providing high-quality and innovative mechanical engineering services tailored to the unique needs of your product, space, and budget. Our engineers have considerable experience with products like yours, offering solutions that optimize manual and mechanical processes, maximize your dollar, and make maintenance easier.
Equipment Design and Development
Most processes are unique, and often the equipment best-suited for yours can be improved. Our team optimizes equipment for your application, whether it's how your product is received, ejected, or affected. After making the drawings, we can send them to the OEM for manufacture or make the changes ourselves after-the-fact. ABM has experience doing this for all types of machines including (but not limited to) conveyors, tanks, mixers, shredders, scales and x-ray. Our engineers have a thorough understanding of how different materials behave and a large catalog of past projects to speed up the process. From conceptualization to prototyping and final production, our designs help improve your process and — of course — are serviced by our own techs.
System Design
Having chosen equipment with the system in mind, we now design the system with fabrication in mind. ABM engineers provide 2D and 3D drawings of your system that optimize operation and ingredient costs, final quality, and fabrication by us or a third party. Whether you have pre-existing equipment or machines we chose for the system, ABM ensures it all works together and balances space efficiency and access for maintenance. All transitions and structural support are included along with your spare parts list, P&ID, maintenance schedule, and point loads.
Equipment Upgrades and Retrofitting
Our team commonly upgrades old equipment and fits new equipment into old systems. Because the available equipment changes over time, this can involve system changes, equipment modifications, or a combination of both. A recent catalyst for this need is Costco's x-ray requirement, which many processors don't have room for. Our team will often find space in the line that can be eliminated, then make up the difference with a modification to the x-ray machines.
Safety and Compliance
For those with stringent requirements, our team assesses your equipment, processes, and workplace environment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as FDA, cGMP, and OSHA.
